Chapter 5 — Troubleshooting and Maintaining the CK31
118 CK31 Handheld Computer User’s Manual
Problems While Configuring Security (continued)
Problem Solution
You receive a message saying “The
server certificate has expired or
your system date is incorrect”
after you cold boot the CK31.
The correct date and time on the CK31 are not always
saved through a cold boot. You need to re-enter the date
and time, and then save your changes.
The CK31 indicates that it is not
authenticated.
Make sure that:
• the User Name and Password on your CK31 match
the user name and password on your authentication
server. You may need to re-enter the password on both
your CK31 and authentication server.
• on your authentication server, the user and group are
allowed and the group policy is allowed to log in to
the server. For help, see the documentation that
shipped with your authentication server software.
• the IP address and secret key for your access point
must match the IP address and secret key on your
authentication server. You may need to re-enter the IP
address and secret key on both your access point and
authentication server.
• your authentication server is active and can
communicate with your access point. You can use the
PING utility to determine communications by
selecting Start > Programs > Intermec Diagnostics >
System > Ping Utility.
• the authentication server software is running on the
server PC.
